Coach Vieau: These girls have been stepping up more defensively over the last two double headers, which is what we talked about at the beginning of the season; making more plays and showing more consistency in the field. Our pitchers, Mar and Sam are doing a great job of getting outs on their own, which helps keep us out of too many high pressure situations defensively. Even so, when we have been in those situations, I’ve been pleased with how the girls have risen to the challenge. These two components will be vital for us to maintain in order to win tomorrow’s matchup. I’m excited to see how the girls face this challenge.

Comets are now 12-1 on the season, and 11-1 in the NLC. They host Ellsworth tomorrow evening in a double header that will determine the winner of the conference.
