Coach Martin: Tonight was our final regular season game before our tournament matchup on Friday. It was also our final conference game vs the undefeated conference champs and an opportunity see where this season has brought this young team start to finish. Game 1 settled all questions wether we belonged. It took Harbor light to the bottom of the 6th inning to defeat us 4-3. This was a very well played game by both teams. A 1-0 game entering the 5th Mackinaw pushed across the tying run and Harbor answered with 2 of their own in the bottom of the 5th to make it 3-1 entering the 6th where the Comets battled back once again with 2 of their own to tie it up. Harbor did manage the game winner in the bottom half, but it was a great game to be a part of. Harbor Light is very well managed and their kids very disciplined. For Mackinaw, Nolan Lalonde tossed the 5 + innings for the Comets taking the loss. He spread out 7 hits and walked 1. The Comets offense was lead by 3 hits, 1 each by Lars Huffman, Logan Smith (double), and Cooper Whipkey.
